The apartment is fully decorated and furnished, it has an spacious bathroom with an Italian made shower. It also has a kitchenette with all the essentials; included a micro, a two hub cooker, a percolator and a coffee machine. The main area is delicately decorated by a reputable Interior artist, all 'Provencal' style to make you feel in the right surroundings. Enjoy your private decorated terraced patio where you can have nice candlelight dinners there or enjoy a french breakfast with freshly baked 'pain au chocolat'.
We speak English, French, Spanish and Norwegian. Since I like other people to have a few words about us I copy a review we got. "Our stay at Oliver's house was simply wonderful. The accommodation is just exquisite, amazingly decorated, comfortable and peaceful. It is placed in a picturesque village with great surrounding areas well worth visiting. Fredrik, Chelo, Oliver were very nice to meet. They gave us excellent tips on places to eat, what to visit and where to buy great wine. We had a great time and wished we could have stayed longer. We are looking forward to coming back as there is surely much more to explore and many more great tips on good wine and food from Chelo and Fredrik.
Fons and neighbouring villages have a rich programme of fêtes throughout the summer. We have our restaurant La Golade and the village has a superb épicerie, open seven days a week in summer. May 29, Ascension – “Michoui” – whole roasted lamb – a daylong fête! June 21 – St Jean. Picnic on trestle tables in the square below the house. Grill provided to cook your own sausages. Live music. The high point is leaping the bonfire… July 13 – Bastille Day Eve. In Fons festivities are held the night before the public holiday. Usually a picnic by the Mairie, followed by fireworks. Weekend 1-3 August – Fête Votive. Three days of merrymaking, boules and dancing. August 15 – Feast of the Annunciation. A catered dinner in the square, organised by the older Fonsois, costing about 12 euros a head, inc wine. Needs to be booked at the shop in advance.
