The house is uniquely located in the centre of Vaison-la-Romaine but very calm, just few steps from the historic 'pont romain'. The history of the house dates back to the 16th century. It is situated in a pleasant alley with flowers and plants. A unique feature of our town-house is the sunny south-faced outdoor terrace of 22 sqm! The house itself has in fact three stories, the cave being the lowest story, is carved-out in the rocks and has also a separate storage room with secured access (ideal for placing bicycles safely). The house is accessed at the second story through the main door to the terrace. The terrace has a phenomenal view towards the historical 'haut ville'. The interior is decorated with style and attention for detail. All floors have the original antique tomettes except for the kitchen where it was necessary to install a new (colorful) floor. The main part of the ground floor is taken by the kitchen. As this is a central place of the house we took special care to make it a cosy 'living' kitchen.
Since 2012 Christine and I dedicate our time to renting-out our properties in Noves (Villa Mas St Jean) and Vaison-la-romaine (MaisonVaison) for holiday purposes. In Noves we also exploit Villa Mas St Jean as a luxe Bed & Breakfast when not rented.
It is just a few steps down to the main shopping street in Vaison. All you would probably like to visit the 'upper medieval city' just on the other side of the famous pont romain. All just 50 meters from our town-house.
