Les Petites Ecuries self-catering holiday cottages border the Canal du Midi a UNESCO World Heritage site, in the small village of Marseillette, near Carcassonne (20 minutes) which has daily Ryanair flights from across Europe. You can also fly to Toulouse, Beziers and Perpignan all an hour away. Marseillette is situated in the south Minervois wine region of Languedoc Roussillon. Marseillette sits slightly elevated between the Canal du Midi and the river Aude. Les Petites Ecuries self-catering holiday gites are located on the banks of the Canal du Midi and have direct access to the tow path. Owners, Carol and Andrew have converted the old stable buildings into luxury self-catering holiday cottages/gites/villas. Named after the horses that once worked the vineyards, Tango, Bijou and PonPon are furnished to an extremely high level and are 3 and 4 star rated by French authorities. There are two heated salt water pools onsite, a self-service bar, boules court, large landscaped garden, BBQ’s and plenty of things to keep the children amused too.

Lovely little French village in Minervois wine region of France. The village is surrounded by vineyards, and other agriculture land. The canal and river Aude are a stones throw from the property, which itself was an old stable.
