We are Richard and Marjan, Dutch owners of NouLou gîtes in Saint-Denis (Gard region) since June 2018 and Le Bel Endroit gîte in Pierregras (Adrèche region) since 2015. Marjan has been in the area where the gîtes have been since her childhood . Because the Ardéche / Gard is so versatile, we have chosen to open gîtes in this region. In the authentic village of Saint-Denis, juist between Barjac and Saint-Ambroix you will find the typical French building in which the NouLou apartments are located. There is a variety of activities in this area; swimming in rivers, fishing, canoeing, montainbiking, cycling, climbing wall, beautiful cities, the beautiful markets, Nimes, Pont du Gard, Barjac and much more. At gîtes NouLou you can taste French life for a while; you live in an authentic building in the typical French village of Saint-Denis. In the village it seems as if time has stood still, but around the village there are beautiful cities, beautiful sights and outings. And at walking distance, swimming river the Cèze!
There is much to see and do in the Gard and the Ardèche. Juist between Barjac and Saint-Ambroix. Consider Pont du Gard; the aqueduct, the historic city of Nîmes, Arles, the beautiful Cevennes and much more. You can go out every day. There is plenty to do for large and small children. The Cèze River is within walking distance, which is great for young and old. How about canoeing, cycling, the climbing forest, fishing, the caves, a day at the sea, shopping and much more. Scour the French markets. You could do that every day. Because in the Gard and Ardèche region there is always one. Wines, cheeses, lavender, linen, greetings, meat, fish and wonderful smelling soaps. Take a piece of France home. There are so many beautiful cities in this neighborhood; too many to mention. But what do you think of Nimes, Arles, Avigion, Barjac and much more. Sniff culture, stroll through old towns, grab a lovely terrace, the arenas or a museum. There is a lot to do and to see.
