Capestang is well known for its location on the Canal du Midi and the Collégiale of St Etienne., built in the 13 century. The towns of Beziers and Narbonne are about 25 minutes by car. The TGV high speed train runs regularly from Paris and Barcelona to these stations. There is a bus that runs seven days a week From Capestang to Beziers;. Other points of interest are Minerve, (about 30 minutes) and Montpellier, Carcassonne and Perpignan all about an hour away. This area has a rich history as well as offering many outdoor activities.
