Positioned at the end of a private road in an idyllic environment which breathes the atmosphere of history, tranquility and the rural French life. To the south: views over the chain of the Pyrenees and medieval Fanjeaux. To the north: breathtaking undisturbed wide country views into the valley towards Castelnaudary, the Black Mountains, medieval Laurac and several other villages. The protected area around the Domaine, also called "small Toscany" ensures absolute privacy and tranquility as there are no roads near by. Domaine La Grangette can be considered as one of the best situated and nicest properties in the region for a relaxing holiday in a romantic, historic and cultural environment. Visits to la Cité de Carcassonne, Canal du Midi, Mirepoix, one of the Cathar castles, some typical French markets, wine-domaines, good restaurants, golf course etc. It is all easily accessible and often only a few minutes drive from the property.
La Grangette is situated near Fanjeaux ( where the Romans had a temple to Jupiter), the medieval fortified Carcassonne, the Cathar castles of Queribus, Peyrepertusis and Montsegur. The lovely medieval village Mirepoix is closeby and has a market every week. Markets can also be found in Revel and Limoux. The Canal du Midi is a world heritage site where boats can be rented or walks can be had along the shaded banks of the canal. It is a perfect place for a picnic.
