34 rue du Pont Vieux is the perfect position in Carcassonne situated between the Medieval city and the town centre. It is a few minutes walk to all ameneties and also very close to the river Aude and canal du Midi. Our apartments have retained period features but with modern facilities. Our guests particularly enjoy eating/drinking/relaxing on our private outdoor terraces. The two bedroom apartment has a fantastic view of Carcassonne Cite.

We are an British family that moved to France in 1999. Our children are bilingual in French, English and Spanish. We love this region of France for the food and wine, history, culture, weather, scenery and the friendliness of the locals. We have been renting property for many years and enjoy meeting guests from all over the world. Many guests return year after year and have become great friends.

Rue du Pont Vieux is an historic street that links the Medieval Cite to the town centre. When you walk to the bottom of the street and reach the old bridge you have the best possible view of Carcassonne Cite. In the street there is a fabulous wine bar "Lache pas la grappe" and several other restaurants. In early 2017 in the same building as the apartments an artisan chocolate maker will be opening his shop. Friends of ours run award winning chocolate and wine tours. The main square Place Carnot is five minutes walk and a produce market takes place there three times a week.
