Bayeux is a beautiful medieval town in north west France which was the first town liberated on D-Day. The cathedral dates back to William the Conqueror and the 11th century and of course there is the amazing UNESCO listed Bayeux tapestry which celebrated its 950th anniversay in 2016. Studio Thiaumerie is right in the centre of Bayeux, in the pedestrianised zone from June to September with numerous cafés and restaurants on the doorstep, a wonderful street market on Wednesday mornings, and less than a 2 minute walk to the pick-up point for D-Day tours and trips to Mont St Michel and only 3 minutes to the cathedral, Bayeux museum and the famous tapestry.
