La Petite Rose house dates back to them mid 1700s, and has been renovated tastefully for you to enjoy the feeling of a traditional stone Perigordian farn cottage, but with all the amenities for cooking, eating, watching movies, and Wifi. La Wisteria, is a bit newer and bigger, still the traditional stone house, with fantastic views over the valley. Enjoy sipping a your wine, watching the sunset over the valley. A peaceful paradise with the sites and sounds of nature. Each house has their designated space - terrace and barbecue, with shared space of large gardens (6ha), heated swimming pool, sun deck with pool loungers, indoor games room with billiards and toys for every age, ping pong, badminton, and garden corners to walk and explore. We love the pace of life here, from the food and wine, to the calm nature surrounding us. We enjoy taking walks along the marked nature trails, hiking by the steams, canoeing down the Dordogne River past 5 castles, and then relaxing under the starry sky! It really is a little paradise here.
We are in a small hamlet of stone Perigordian farm cottages, and farms. Wake up to the sound of birds chirping, and go to sleep to the sounds of frogs and crickets. We are an easy 1.5 km away from a large supermarket, that has everything you need, even a foreign foods section! The medical center is down the hill, and the pharmacy a short 3 km away. There are many local restaurants and bars to choose from, so it's easy to visit the local castle - The Chateau Hautefort - and then walk around the medieval town to a choice of 5. This area is surrounded by local farms - so the food is really farm fresh! Take a farm visit to: Black Truffles, Walnuts, Foie Gras/Canard, Goat cheese, Chickens & Eggs, and a local Organic Vegetable farm! This is a relaxing oasis away from all the heavily touristic areas (Sarlat, Lascaux), yet close enough to visit the amazing world heritage sites, and then return home!
