Informations sur l'hôte
Les 23 Muriers is named after the old mulberry trees in the garden. In the old days the leaves were used to feed silkworms. Now the trees offer shade, privacy and timeless beauty! But of course the most popular places at Les 23 Muriers are the pool and the fantastic terrace. Nothing beats taking a swim and then relaxing by the pool on a summer afternoon, and then going upstairs to the terrace to sip an aperitif while enjoying the splendid view across the valley. It's about as good as it gets :)
The natural beauty and quality of the environment in the Ardèche never cease to impress me despite many visits over the years. There are many secret places...maybe round a bend in the river or the corner of a path. I love to discover them is by biking, hiking or taking a canoe. When the weather is good and the sky is blue my little corner of the Ardèche reminds me of the Lou Reed song "It's just a Perfect Day".
Les 23 Muriers is on the edge of Chauzon village. Apart from two or three nearby houses we are surrounded by greenery, mostly vineyards. In the evening the nearby Place du Coulet is good for a game of boules, there is a bar in the centre of the village and a shop at the campsite 200 metres away. There are many walks along the Ardeche river, which is about 500 metres away, but one of the best starts at the bridge in the nearby medieval town of Balazuc, to the hamlet of Vieux Audon. Canoe hire is available for those who wish to descend the Ardeche, either from Balazuc to Ruoms, or from Ruoms to the Gorges de l'Ardeche.
