We bought this country house in 2018. It is an 1800 century farmhouse, very quiet and peaceful and without neighbours. We are not in a town but on the outskirts of the village where nothing is far away, lovely for walks, fishing and cycling. We are in the middle of two towns Bressuire and beautiful medieval Parthenay where you can find restaurants and cafes, it also has a local market on Wednesdays. Although in the main building your accommodation is totally separate with your own little lounge with tea, coffee and a microwave. The guests enjoy a large bathroom with shower and a 25sq meter bedroom. You will be our only guests!
I originate from England and lived in the Middle East for 20 years. We love cooking and entertaining and had our own cafe. Menny is an award winning chef and baker, his speciality is Artisan breads and croissants which he makes for breakfast with a lovely freshly baked baguette. We can also cook a delicious Italian meal with fresh pastas and organic ingredients, if you require an evening meal we must however ask you to book this in advance. We love animals and have our own dogs and cats which are kept separate from your accommodation. We decided to come to France to enjoy a much slower pace of life, enjoy the beautiful countryside and fresh air. I hosted many guests in the middle east and enjoyed it so much decided to start again in France. We must warn you our French is not great but we are learning and we do try!!
