This characterful accommodation offers two double bedrooms both with en-suite shower rooms, there is a large open plan living area & fully equipped kitchen. La Tuilerie Grange looks out over the courtyard of La Tuilerie manor house and Le Petit Chateau (a 2 persons adult only gite) with direct access to the river Vezere. La Tuilerie Grange has its own private terrace with table & chairs, plus you can enjoy the fabulous 12m x 5m heated swimming pool relaxing on luxurious sunbeds (pool towels provided). Most of the time you will have the pool to yourselves. Feel safe here within your own space. Social distancing is easy with only the owners and perhaps adult guests from one other gite on this 2 acre property. There is a walnut tree plantation to one side and an open field to the other with river frontage. Here you can walk along the river bank, stroll through the gardens and see the fish in the pond. Fishing and kayaking is possible directly from the property.
Your hosts are David and Caroline who moved from the UK to this lovely area of the Dordogne in October 2019 to sample a different culture and lifestyle. We enjoy the local restaurants with a great selection in Les Eyzies and Le Bugue both a short drive away, also local walks and of course canoeing down the River Vezere. We look forward to welcoming you here and then slipping into the background for you to enjoy your time here.
La Tuilerie Grange is Ideally situated on the bank of the River Vezere in the pre-historic area known as the 'Vallee de L'Homme' between the tourist destination town of Les Eyzies (6 min by car) and market town of Le Bugue (5 min by car). Around and about you can soak up the beauty of the Dordogne with its amazing chateaux and visit the many pre-historic caves and cultural experiences through 'The Valley of Man'. Our location is a perfect base to either see the sites or just relax and be. Our private property is pretty secluded without being isolated. You are just 5 minutes away from local restaurants, shops, supermarkets and other amenities. The local single-track train line runs adjacent to our garden and Le Bugue train station a short 10 minute walk away where you can take the train to the fabulous historic town of Sarlat or Perigueux the capital of the Dordogne. Your host is happy to pick you up from the train station to bring you back to your accommodation. *Please note: Because we have so many water features and open to the river without safety fences and barriers unfortunately this property is not suitable for children.
