Chalet Le R'Posiao

Pro: Francois, the owner was very helpful with directions to the chalet and location was magnificent. I would highly recommend this chalet, it’s only a few mins drive into morzine and there are regular buses if you don’t have a car. The chalet was very cosy with the log fire burning in the evenings . It’s definitely a fairytale location off the beaten track. I will definitely be booking again....Merci beaucoup francois .

Contre: Nothing

Pro: Nous avons trouvé tout ce dont nous avions besoin voire plus.. plusieurs produits de première nécessité ( alimentaire, d’entretien, d’hygiène ) ont été mis à notre disposition..

Contre: L’accès un peu difficile

Pro: Chalet was was lovely, very comfortable and great facilities

Contre: 4km uphill away from morzine was ok but the 400m trek from bus stop was hard with ski gear and luggage. No taxis at night so had to leave early or walk 4km in dark

Pro: The coziness and facilities

Contre: Little far from the main town

Contre: Pictures were cleverly taken from an angle to disguise the actual layout and room(s) of the property. There is only one bedroom and not two bedrooms as described. The second bedroom is a hole in the eaves. Picture shown is taken from an angle showing a bed but it’s a mattress on the floor. You can’t actually see the whole mattress therefore you do think it’s a bed with no headboard. There are NO door to the shower which is in a open room and the en-suite is a bath tub and a wash basin in the corner of the room with no door or toilet. There were no curtains or bedside tables and lights as shown on the platform for bedroom 1. There were 5 of us and only 4 towels were provided. Only one bed was made up and there were not sufficient linens for the so called “2nd bedroom” and sofa bed. Parking is free but it’s on a layby of a road and the chalet is at least 250 meters down a snow covered track. As you can see the pictures taken when we were there are very different to what is shown on the platform. We had to seek another accommodation that is suitable for 5 people and the landlord was informed at the earliest opportunity when one was found. He verbally confirmed to give us a full refund when he chose to collect the keys of his chalet at the end of our holiday and has now renegaded on his agreement.

Contre: Les chambres ne sont pas vraiment séparées. Intimité un peu restreinte

Pro: Le chalet est sublime et très moderne. Tous les éléments (sauna, électroménager, cheminée..) sont de très bonne qualité. L'emplacement, pour ceux qui aiment le calme, est un paradis. Le départ pour le ski ou la rando se fait devant la porte !!

Contre: Peut être une seconde salle de bain serait un plus (nous étions 5)

Pro: Wonderful space and character. We did have fairy tale snow everywhere - a true old fashioned alpine experience. Because of the snow we had to walk up the lane which added to the experience. Good internal space. We loved our stay.

Contre: The chalet was wonderful but it wasn't very clean. Also the bed linen and towels were not great - didn't fit the beds and didn't look or feel very clean. Needs to get some good quality sheets etc that fit the beds. The 2nd bedroom is only suitable for young children as you have to crawl in - our two nine year olds loved it.
