We are in an ideal situation for visiting all the pleasures offered by this amazingly beautiful site the Bassin d'Arcachon with its oyster ports ,ocean beaches (10km) not to mention the fishing ,boating kiting canoeing cycling(more than 100km of perfectly safe and easy cycle paths) easy access to the medoc wine region
This Apparthotel belongs to a family group called Franceloc It was built in 1988 and is currently being renovated to match todays standards. Most Studios have a small balcony. Car parking is free and safe all around the place situated in a cul de sac right on the beach;practically no trafic to disturb your nights sleep. Proximity to Bordeaux (40km) Arcachon (45km or 10km as the crow flies) and the famous Cap Ferret is just 25km away. Cycle paths all around the bassin make for carefree sporting holidays and weekends all through the season ;sailing and canoeing, diving, kite surfing, jet ski-ing are all within easy reach of Andernos. The typical pittoresque oyster ports are all ready to welcome visitors for a "degustation" (tasting) of their local produce with a dry bordeaux to accompany with moderation of course.
right on the beach the apparthotel is ideally situated for families with young children We have long periods where the tide is out and the water is very shallow even at high tide Rather like a lake actually When the tide is out kids can play in the pool outside In case of bad weather the towns indoor pool is just next door Cycle paths all around the bassin make getting around easy and stressless in summer (rental shop at 500m ) The ocean beaches are 15km away on the road to cap ferret for surfing lessons or beach games or just lazing away Plenty of restaurants in Andernos providing local oysters and fish not to forget all the specialites from the south west of france (foie gras ,duck ,bordeaux wines etc etc ) The beautiful city of Bordeaux is 3/4 hr away and easy of access with the tram and Park and Ride facilities The Medoc wine region just to the north makes a day out worth remembering visits to chateaux and caves for wine tasting ( in moderation of course)
