My terraced house is in the most artistic district of Granville. It has lots of paintings on show throughout, hence the refundable deposit. They are not for sale just on show to enjoy during your stay. But what makes my house special is above all its location for lovers of sea food and walks along the seashores from North to South. But please be aware of the tide table before you set up. A restaurant just next door and Borsalino (see the web) you can have ''assiette de pécheurs'' while the kids pizzas. I know I am not expensive because still a bit rough on the ground floor as renovations still not finished. But with the rock of the remparts coming into the house it does make it very special. It is a late 18th century house in an historic part of town. And its location very special. to look in the internet, like the beaches and havres of the West coast of the Manche and 20 minutes by car from the Mont St Michel. The Casino and Granville beach less than 5 minutes walk away by foot so are the bakers,fishmongers, butchers (rue Couraye check gateau de crépes a local savoury) . Visit to the Christian Dior is a must along the cliff from the beach with a combined ticket with Anacreon.
I am French and spent 43 years in London after my baccalauréat (La Rochelle). I have a Honorary Degree in Fine Art (London) then worked as an artisan/interior decorator in London for 35 years. At my retirement in 2015, I chose to return to France in Normandie as not far from the ferry terminals to UK . Shame about Brexit ! And now TRUMP!? My main residence is not far from Granville, in Hambye. Bought in 2009, I am still renovating it ! I never had a garden before so caught the bug now designing it while weeding and planting ...My house is the only one just behind the Mairie. You are welcome to pop in.
My neighbourhood is a bit noisy at times. But this what you pay for for being right in the center of Granville. .,Not just the people but the herring gulls also .Still you must call the gendarme - just next door if too much noise in the street except that there are festivals at times... You either join the locals or you don;t...The Bar is 4 doors away. The house has double glazed windows throughout. There are lovely walks all around: check the steps to the shopping streets and the 3 ports going down and the ones above on the Remparts going up, to the Old Town. With kids and push chairs as accessible also via the streets as opened to traffic. At the Pointe du Rock up the street, the Aquarium, more like a shell museum but kids love it 10 minutes by foot.
