Informations sur l'hôte
The property has superb mountain views looking across towards the Aiguille du Midi, Mont Blanc or Glacier des Bossons, which can be enjoyed from inside the apartments large windows or outside on the patio area. The apartment faces south so also benefits from plenty of afternoon sunshine during the winter or summer! The apartment is my second home and often used by myself and family in summer and winter time, so is well equipped, modern and suitable for families. It has been renovated two years ago with new furniture and a fully refitted kitchen and bathroom. The apartment is split over two levels and can accommodate up to 5 people maximum. The upper level of the apartment has the kitchen, dining area, additional toilet and single bedroom (with one single bed). The lower level of the apartment has the lounge with sofa bed (double bed), main bedroom (double bed), bathroom and a storage area. There is also a door that leads to the outside terrace area.
Chamonix is a fantastic place to be based for a short or longer stay and I'm happy to advise you of things to do in the area. I often visit the area in the summer for walking, running or climbing and in the winter for skiing and snowshoeing. I do work for part of the winter as a transfer driver so have good local knowledge of the area. I am also a qualified International Mountain Leader or L’accompagnateur en moyenne montagne so I can give advice about the best places to explore in the mountains.
The apartment is located near the popular Les Gaillands climbing area, and Lac des Gaillands which has plenty of walking routes from here up into the mountains and along the Chamonix valley. It is a short 10-15 minute walk to the centre of Chamonix from here, and it is also located on a bus and train route with the nearest stops 500 metres away. Chamonix is a popular town and has lots to do both in summer and winter both for those who want an active or less active visit. There is some useful information within the apartment on things to see and do in Chamonix but I am happy to advise you on information about the area for your stay. Chamonix is very easy to get to and is located just over 1 hour from Geneva Airport. The easiest way to get here is to book a transfer with one of the airport transfer companies who can offer these every day of the year and will drop you off at the door. I recommend using Mountain Drop-offs, Chamonix Valley Transfers or Alpybus. If you wish to drive there are a small number of parking spaces available for residents and visitors at the back of the apartments.
