My home is a lovely old stone French house, with open fireplaces and many traditional features. The bedroom you will stay in has been decorated with the French style in mind. The bathroom is in suite and has only recently been fitted but the original wooden floor and surround has been kept as it is. The nearest airport is Limoges, which is roughly 45 minutes drive away. The nearest town is the medieval town of La Souterraine, about 6 minutes drive, and has lovely restaurants and coffee houses, plus a regular market on a Saturday morning and some interesting quirky shops. The house is surrounded by countryside and woods, so if you fancy a peaceful walk, you have a wide choice. There is a large garden you can relax in, and also a large lounge with wood burner. Maison Lezat is a happy home and welcomes all guests.
I enjoy meeting new people and finding out what brings them to my part of France. It's fun to have new company and share different interests. As I am an artist, I have a huge studio and paintings can be viewed on request. I also have a large gym which guests can use if appropriate. I enjoy gardening and love to give tours of my garden and talk about plants and future plans I have, and welcome any advice or guidance.
Lezat is very quiet, with roughly 17 houses, some just holiday homes so not always in use. My house is not on the road but on a small rise with another house, so it's very peaceful. The neighbours are friendly and welcoming, and Chateau Lezat which is also on this site is just across the road.
